![]() I can add this bit of info about Xenetech. Thanks for the offer, I am in South Africa so I guess a trip to your shop is out of the question unless I come to the States some time, in which case I'll take you up on the offer.īobcat, not to worry about hijacking, it happens all the time in South Africa. I'm sorry, it was not my intention to hijack your thread. Filling out the profile info might help us get an idea of where you are at and the type of equipment you run. What part of the country are you in? You are always welcome to come look and try out mine in an actual working enviornment if you are close. I can also tell you that I have never had to pay a cent towards any of this and that my local agent and Epilog have been supportive the whole time and done their best to solve any issues even after hours.Īt this stage I am however interested to find out more about the Xenetech. I can however tell you that "yes" I have had to replace tubes more than once, along with just about every other component on the machine, including Servos, I beams, Control Panels, Power Supplies, Belts, the list goes on. To be honest I do not want to turn this into a thread about Epilog. What types of problems have you had with your Epilog? Have you had to replace your laser tube? "my Epilog which as been riddled with problems since day one" You either need more power or lower speed to supply that energy. What is the reason for having to slow down on wood and marble?Ī lot more heat is necessary for these materials. but I though I'd get a head start in gaining some insight on the equipment. It is at their recommendation that I am looking at the Xenetech. My distributer locally has given me great support with my Epilog which as been riddled with problems since day one so I know I'll still get great service from them no matter which equipment they sell. Thanks for your reply, at this stage I do not have any Xenetech equipment and have never seen or worked on one. Let me know what other questions you may have. Xenetech has great support from the factory techs and I happen to be fortunate enough to be in Roy Brewers territory who has a fantastic group of helpers for help before AND after the sale. One of your most important feature is support from your sales rep and from the factory. Like most all mfg's they have easy access to clean lenses and auto focus. ![]() Speed is good on brass/aluminum and plastic but on wood and marble you will need to really slow it down. My newer one is 60 watts and runs 120 inches per second. Layout & editing are quick and easy eg: one key stroke will automatically even space all lines. Some of the features of the XWG32 software is Bottom up engraving.helps keep debris off of the image while lasing. You can also run the laser from CorelDraw. Do you currently have a Xenetech rotary engraver? The same software drives the rotary and lasers- Very powerfull. I have 2 Xenetech Lasers, I shopped around when I bought each. ![]() I am thinking of upgrading my older Epilog EX and my local agent is now also stocking Xenetech. I am interested in finding out more on how they preform. I am interested in getting some feed back from Xenetech laser users.
